Video and Web Producer, Xavier University

Debora Del Valle’s media career began more than 40 years ago when she was asked to write a weekly high school news column for her hometown newspaper. The switch to electronic media came at a proverbial ‘500-watt radio station’ when she became the first female sportscaster for the student run radio station at Michigan State University. After working as a radio news reporter for several years, Debora worked for the Associated Press before taking the leap to local television news. For the next 11 years, she was a lead writer and/or producer at WDIV in Detroit and WKRC in Cincinnati. After leaving the local news scene, Debora spent eight years as a freelance video producer working for such clients as General Motors, ABC News, SPCA Cincinnati (Humane Society), P&G, and TV Guide Channel. She joined the public relations staff at Xavier University in 2002 as a media relations specialist, eventually taking on the role of Director of Public Relations before moving into her current position as Xavier’s video and web producer.
