Audio/Visual Production Specialist, Defense Media Activity/Department of Defense

Grant has been working in television for almost ten years, primarily for the Department of the Navy and Department of Defense. He works closely with the US Military services in providing service members and veterans with news and information. These shows and updates reach thousands of people around the world on a daily basis. He is the winner of multiple awards, including the Chief of Naval Information Awards while he served in the US Navy. In 2011, he won an Excellence in Television Programming award for a 30-minute documentary that he produced for the Centennial of Naval Aviation in conjunction with NASA. Currently, Grant is the lighting and stage manager for four television studios in Ft. Meade, Maryland. This past year, he did the lighting schemes for numerous live broadcasts, including the Navy’s Chief of Naval Personnel, the Sargent Major of the Army, the Secretary of the Air Force, the Secretary of Defense, and President Barrack Obama. In his spare time, Grant enjoys creating training databases to help teach others about the craft of film and television. In addition, he enjoys to write.  He is currently working on a couple of screen plays, and he has just completed his first novel.
