Founder/Director, Black Folks Make Movies

My film career focuses on the history of Black American Cinema from it’s beginnings in 1910 to the present. More specifically “race movies”, those films done primarily by, for and about the Black Community from 1910 thru 1950. Producer of award winning PBS documentary, MIDNIGHT RAMBLE: Oscar Micheaux and the Story of Race Movies, for the American Experience along with the upcoming Cincinnati-based, FADE2BLACK Film Festival.
