Chair of Fine Arts, Stevenson School

Stephan Pratt lives in Pebble Beach, California, where he serves as Chair of Fine Arts at the Stevenson School and teaches painting, drawing, architecture and digital art.

Steph is credited for his work on The Forger, a film starring Josh Hutcherson, Alfred Molina, Hayden Panittiere and Lauren Bacall (in her final movie role). He has worked for Sports Illustrated and Time-Warner at the Barcelona Olympic Games, for the ATP Men’s Tennis Tour in France, and as freelance artist for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. His unique live-action sketches at professional sports events are a staple of his teaching and his work, while his exquisite impressionist painting style (he won Best In Show at Big Sur Plein Air Invitational) is another. His calling card, though, remains his uncanny knack for painting portraits.

Stephan is currently developing a film program and has already collaborated with actors Alan Arkin (Oscar® winner), Billy Boyd and Kristoffer Polaha to offer workshops at the Steveson School Pebble Beach campus.

Stephan’s art can be viewed on his website.
