Richard J. McCollough is an award-winning producer, director, and veteran broadcaster with 36 years of experience. He has worked at NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS affiliates in Washington, DC, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Spartanburg, SC and Rochester, NY. RIchard is President and founder of Mirusmedia, a production company and American Abilities Television Network. American Abilities is programming for people with hearing loss on CW Rochester channel 16. He is also Chief Meteorologist at top-rated WDKX-FM 1039. Over the years Richard has been the spokesman for numerous organizations and companies including Darien Lake, Bristol Mountain, One for the Community and Lollypop Farm to name a few. McCollough has been honored with over 40 prestigious film/video/television awards including 9 Telly Awards. When not broadcasting and producing documentaries and television shows, he teaches media in high schools, works on his series of manuscripts and articles, is a collector of antiques, 18th Century model warships and is a blackberry farmer on his beloved Weatherfield Farm in the Finger Lakes.
